Restaurant Tila – Our ceiling is high

Tila is a restaurant located in the heart of Sipoonkorpi National Park, just thirty minutes from Helsinki Centre. We serve uncomplicated food cooked on the premises. You can also pop in for a coffee. Tila is available for booking for private and business functions, courses, meetings and concerts.

The excellent hiking grounds of Sipoonkorpi start from our yard and our free-roaming critters bring that extra something to your meeting or party atmosphere.

We sell a selection of our own cheeses and honey, wool yarn and Finnsheep skins. We have a great collection of second hand books, courtesy of the antiquarian bookshop Syvä uni.

We offer you space to be inspired, to experience the ambience, to party, to think – or just to be.

SUSTAINABILITY

We use wind-generated electricity and our premises are wood-heated because we value nature. We heat also our restaurant with solar collector. We are 100% carbon neutral.

Ravintola Tila has Sustainable Travel Finland and Good Travel Seal sertificates.

We cook the food lovingly in the Tila kitchen. We bake our breads using a hundred-year-old sourdough starter and organic flour ground in our own mill. We make the cheeses in our own cheesery. We source the ingredients mainly from local producers: organic flour from Vekkoski-Anttila mill, root vegetables grown biodynamically at Majvik, potatoes from Lindberg in Box, Sipoo, organic vegetables from Ahlberg gardens. We also offer a selection of organic wines and beer by Kråkö brewery.

Tila regularly hosts various musical events. Performers have included Jorma Hynninen, Mari Palo, Pedro Alvarado, Christian Lindroos, Aku Rantama, folk music group Elma and Virta quartet.

Tila offers a spacious, natural and festive environment that will leave you with beautiful memories. We have hosted numerous birthdays, crayfish parties and weddings.

Tila is also a place for companies to organise functions. We have hosted company dinners and Christmas parties.

SIPOONKORPI NATIONAL PARK

We are situated in the heart of a national park. Sipoonkorpi National Park is an idyllic blend of wilderness and traditional landscapes.

You will be greeted by our free-roaming critters: Finnsheep, chickens, cochin roosters, cats and dogs on our hundred-year-old farmstead’s yard. We also have beehives on the property.

Space to think, be inspired and make decisions

MEETING ROOMA

Our meeting rooms can be tailored to meet all your needs. The upstairs library room (accommodates 20 people) is soundproof and equipped with a data projector, a screen and a flip chart. The restaurant can also be turned into a meeting room for 40 people.

Sipoonkorpi National Park gives you an ideal opportunity to take a moment in the woods in between meetings. Our cosy yard entices you to take a little stroll to get oxygen while watching the chickens and stroking the sheep.

We can offer additional services e.g. creativity workshops, wilderness guides or art workshops through our partners.

Tila Cheesery

HINDSBY CHEESE DAIRY

Tila artisanal cheeses are made by hand. Kaisa Rantama makes cheeses from locally-sourced milk and creates new cheese recipes with enthusiasm.

We produce traditional bread cheese, grill cheese, Camembert and Jöööran, which is a mature hard cheese.

We sell our cheeses in our own shop at Ravintola Tila.
